Kirchherr, the photographer who took the famous
black and white photographs of the Beatles back
in Hamburg, Germany in the early 1960s,
discusses her new book, Yesterday:

Time.Since Astrid was
good friends with the Beatles, she was allowed
special access to them during the height of
Beatlemania. The photos were taken on the set of
A Hard Day's Night.
Astrid was
engaged to the Beatles original bass player,
Stuart Sutcliffe, before he died. She discusses
her close friendship with George Harrison, her
